Christmas 07

Well, I guess Christmas 07 is over and you know what, times are definitely changing. I remember when I was younger, my brother, sister and I were so excited about Christmas that we woke up at 4AM to open presents..those days are over unfortunately and we like to sleep in until noon and then grudgingly head over to the tree.  Perhaps not grudgingly the whole time there, but the fact that we have to wake up for this ceremonious occasion when we could be sleeping makes it a grudging matter.  However, after the fact is always good.

There's still the thrill of it I suppose, but the innocent surprise is over.  I do appreciate the fact that although we don't necessarily get the "badass" gifts we desired as a child (since my "badass" gift now consists of cars, house, etc. in my mind) I think the fact that Christmas brings our family and friends together is what makes it special. Yes, corny, I know, yet true.

Ok, maybe I'm not a Christian and don't know an ounce about Christmas (please just take my word for it, don't ask), but because of the way our Christian driven country gives us Christmas off,  we'd be stupid not to take advantage of it.

Don't care to really elaborate on it so here's a picture of our family...fake pine tree and all.

Hope you all had a great Christmas.

I'm Back!!!

Hello Xanga world!

So I've taken a long time away from this whole blogging thing... The first reason being that I totally lost my password after I changed it, the second was that I was getting into the whole Myspace thing, and lastly, I've been so consumed with work and vegging out that I haven't really taken the time to go back and "post."

As for pictures...I have no camera and no desire at this point to post them (remember I used to have very elaborate Xanga entry).  But I'm sure I'll fall back on it soon!

More update later!

i am. graduated.

Well Xanga folks, I, Thinh aka Tawn Le graduated!  Yippee skippee!!  I found out a few weeks ago that I will be working for BMP Radio as an Account Executive for The Beat and Digital. Which means...I will still be in Austin.

I still haven't grasped the concept that I will be staying in place that I wanted to close and leave as a memory so sweet once I crossed the bridge into "adulthood".  But as things always happen in my life, I never really get what I planned - which I think is a blessing in disguise.  I now get to see what Austin really is without being held down by money (well, not so much now) and school.  So Hello ATX!!!

Pics will soon come!

Stole...

When I first heard about your death, I was shocked.  How can someone so young take away his own life.  I never knew you, and have only seen you in passing. I can't say why you did it but I do see how the lives who were effected after what happened...

Wherever you are now, may you rest in peace.
