| Well, I guess Christmas 07 is over and you know what, times are definitely changing. I remember when I was younger, my brother, sister and I were so excited about Christmas that we woke up at 4AM to open presents..those days are over unfortunately and we like to sleep in until noon and then grudgingly head over to the tree. Perhaps not grudgingly the whole time there, but the fact that we have to wake up for this ceremonious occasion when we could be sleeping makes it a grudging matter. However, after the fact is always good. There's still the thrill of it I suppose, but the innocent surprise is over. I do appreciate the fact that although we don't necessarily get the "badass" gifts we desired as a child (since my "badass" gift now consists of cars, house, etc. in my mind) I think the fact that Christmas brings our family and friends together is what makes it special. Yes, corny, I know, yet true. Ok, maybe I'm not a Christian and don't know an ounce about Christmas (please just take my word for it, don't ask), but because of the way our Christian driven country gives us Christmas off, we'd be stupid not to take advantage of it. Don't care to really elaborate on it so here's a picture of our family...fake pine tree and all. Hope you all had a great Christmas.
